Peter goes on to define what doing “right” is on a practical level:
- Stay away from lusts of the flesh
- Submit to authority (unless they want you to sin)
- Proclaim the excellencies of YHWH
- Endure suffering
- Trust that YHWH will judge those that treat you wrongly, righteously
- Wives, be gentle and submissive to your husbands
- Husbands, be gentle and patient with your wives
- Be humble in spirit
- Seek peace and pursue it
- Be kind and brotherly
- Give an account for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and respect
- Be ready to suffer in this life
- Love one another
- Be sober minded
- Resist the devil
- Stand firm in the grace of YHWH
Is there vengeance you need to let go of?
Do you need to change the way you speak with people online?
Are you honoring your husband and letting him lead?
Are you loving the family if YHWH or gossiping about them?
